Tanzania Peoples' Defense Forces (TPDF) Chief of Staffs Lieutenant General Salum Haji Othman, met and held talks with the delegation of International Military Sports Council (CISM), delegation led by the Council's Secretary General, Navy Captain Robert Recchie at Upanga Dar es Salaam city.

During the conversation, the TPDF Chief of Staffs  on behalf of the Chief of Defense Forces, General Jacob John Mkunda, welcomed the delegation  here in Tanzania, and told them to use this opportunity by  visit various tourist attractions here in the Country.

The CISM Secretary General, Navy Captain Robert Recchie, thanked TPDF for the reception and high-quality preparations towards the 79th CISM General Assembly and Congress.

The General Assembly and Congress is expected to be officially opened on May 14, 2024 in Dar Es Salaam involving more than 300 delegates from various armies in the world.
